Boostinator kits allow non-boost wheels to be mounted in Boost spacing frames and forks. While incremental, the benefits of the "Boost" 15x110mm front and 12x148mm rear axle standards are clear: better clearance for fatter tires & rims and reduced dish for stiffer, stronger wheels. The big bummer? Taking full advantage requires not only a new frame and fork, but new wheels as well. In response, we have developed the Boostinator. When paired with compatible 15x100mm or 12x142mm hubs, Boostinator kits allow existing wheels to be mounted in Boost-standard frames and forks. Disc and drivetrain positions are maintained and, thanks to a quick re-dish, spoke bracing angles are improved. Boostinator kits consist of a specially-designed axle end cap and, in the case of rear kits, a precision-machined rotor spacer with a set of six high-strength bolts. In keeping with Boost specifications, the disc and cassette are shifted outboard, allowing brakes and derailleurs to function as designed. Compatibility: - Front boostinators are only an endcap and do not require a rotor spacer. The wheel is re-dished. - Rear boostinators require both a re-dish and rotor spacer. - Rear Boostinator kits are not approved for rotors larger than 183mm. - Hubs spacing is 100mm front and 142 rear, and the Boostinators make them 110 and 148 respectively. - Compatible with 6-bolt FRONT wheels and SOME centerlock models. - Compatible with ONLY 6-bolt REAR wheels (there is no way to space centerlock rotors over 6mm). - NOT recommend (or safe) for non-symmetric lacing like the 2:1 lacing found on some of Industry Nine's wheels. *Note: You will need to re-dish your wheel after installing any Boosinator. Boostinator DR: - The Boostinator DR is compatible with DT-Swiss 12x142mm Star Ratchet (240- and 350-series) rear hubs with 6-bolt (IS) rotor mounts. - Centerlock hubs are not supported. - 180- and 190-series hubs are Centerlock only. - The Boostinator DR is also compatible with some complete wheels from DT Swiss, Roval (Specialized), Giant, Syncros (Scott), and others that use DT's Star Ratchet internals. - Remove the disc side end cap. Trail wheels often fall into two categories—they're either heavy and durable or light and flexy. And because of this, a lightweight, wide-profile, and enduro-ready carbon wheel seems like something only found in a fairytale, but lucky for you, we made it a reality. The Traverse SL Fattie 27.5 puts all the flickable, nimble features you need in an all-mountain wheel into one package, and it has the results to prove it. Along with light overall weight, stiffness, and durability, another top priority for the Traverse SL was ease of use. First off, we got rid of the creaky straight-pull spokes and corrosion-prone alloy nipples. Next up, we landed on 28 J-bend spokes, for both the front and rear wheels, that are all the same length—making it easy to find replacements if needed. And finally, we engineered a new hub design, with a wider profile and higher flange to aid in overall stiffness. What's with the big-boned name, you ask? The Traverse SL Fatties may be wide, but with a 30mm inner rim width, they're far from the girth of a fat bike rim. But let's talk width. You've probably noticed that mountain bike rim widths have hovered between 19 and 23 millimeters for decades, and they've been long overdue for a change. In the search for a better wheel design, our engineers began testing 2.3- to 2.5-inch tires on 45-millimeter-wide fat bike rims to see what, if any, benefits could be found. It only took them a few rides to realize that the wider rims offered a variety of advantages, like adding additional tire volume, which better supports the tires in hard cornering, greatly improves traction because of the ability to run lower pressures, and noticeably increases rim stiffness. They did note that there is an occurrence of diminishing returns with increasing width, however, and after testing everything from 25 to 45mm, determined that a 30mm inner width is optimal. After determining the width, we began designing the rim using the knowledge that we gained when developing the Control SL. With this, we started with our Zero Bead Hook technology that gets rid of the weak spot found in a traditional wheel, and combined it with the wider profile to make a carbon rim that effectively dissipates forces. This way, you can take abuse from rocks without the worry of cracks or dents. Ok, so they're strong, impact-resistant, and tire supporting-they must be heavy, right? Wrong. Even though "fattie"? is in their name, they're far from fat. To achieve this weight, we hand-build our rims to our own alloy hubs, using only the highest quality DT Swiss Competition Race spokes. Inside our hubs, you'll find DT Swiss 240 internals with a quick engaging 54t DT Swiss star ratchet system in the rear that allows you to power over rocks and roots without delay. And while machines do a pretty good job of building wheels, we choose professionally trained humans because they do so with an artistic touch that makes for minimal flaws. Whether you need a carbon wheelset to get you through an enduro stage or one to shred your local rock garden, the Traverse SL Fattie has you covered. - Assembly Method: Hand-built - Bearing Type: Sealed cartridge - Every wheel includes tubeless valve stems in order to make tubeless set-up a touch easier. - Front Hub: Alloy body, 15mmx110 thru-axle, 19 and 31mm OD end cap options included. - Front Spoke Pattern: Two-cross - Nipple Type: DT Swiss Brass Pro Lock hexagonal - Rim Material: Carbon fiber - Rim Type: Carbon clincher, 2Bliss Ready, Zero Bead Hook design. Born on the World Cup, destined for your local trails. We poured World Championship-winning engineering into developing an all-new alloy for these Control wheels. To increase the new material's durability, we customized our shot peening process—where metal projectiles are shot at the alloy to increase its strength—meeting the precise demands of our XC riders. If that wasn't enough, to eliminate creaking and reduce weight, individually customized sleeves are chosen to bond every single rim. The result is a wildly over-engineered, trail-ripping, best-of-the-best, aluminum wheel; held to the same standards as our highest-end Control SL carbon components. Whether you are looking for a solid set of training wheels that will handle it all or a big upgrade from entry-level wheels, Roval Control Alloy is the go-to wheel. With creak-free hoop construction that's laced to high-performance and proven DT Swiss hubs, you can tap into a wheelset born from World Cup technology that's ready for all riders. - Rim: Control Alloy Asymmetric, 6013 Alloy Shot-Pened, 29", Disc Brake, Zero Bead Hook Design, Tubeless Compatible, Compatible with Tire Inserts - Rim Details: 19mm Depth, 31mm External Width, 27mm Internal Width - Hub: DT Swiss 350 Straight-pull 6-bolt, Star Ratchet 36t internals (10 degs), 110x15mm & 148x12mm, Sram XD Freehub (Convertible freehub ) - Bearing Type: DT Swiss Sealed Steel Cartridge Bearings - Spokes: Sapim D-Light Straightpull, Front: Two-cross (1:1) 28 count, R: 304mm, L: 304mm - Rear: Two-cross (1:1) 28 count, DS: 304mm NDS: 304mm - Nipple: Sapim Secure Lock Double Square Alloy Blk, 2.0 x 18mm, 16cNm - Tire Size: 1.9" - 2.6" - Max Pressure: 1.9"-2.3": 40psi, 2.35"-2.5": 35psi, 2.51" -2.6": 30psi - Weight: Wheelset 1,648g, Front 768g, Rear 880g (excluding 15g, tubeless rim tape, and tubeless valve) - Assembly Method: Hand-built - Extras: Roval Tubeless Rim Tape and Tubeless Valve, Spare Spoke & Nipple Kit, 19 and 31mm OD Endcaps, Lifetime Warranty System Weight Limit: 275lbs / 125kg

The trails in our neck of the woods get pretty hairy pretty fast, so we've found them to be the perfect testing ground for fast and tough wheels like our Traverse 29 Carbon. The steep climbs and descents helped inspire some pretty radical designs, and most importantly, left us with no doubt that these wheels will exceed your expectations. Let's talk about those expectations. They include everything from the ability to stay true after launching off drops to being light enough to efficiently pedal to the top of a climb, and they all begin with the rim. Our engineers knew they wanted carbon fiber, and with the inclusion of our Zero Bead Hook design, they were able to implement a continuous fiber layup across the sidewall and rim bed. And when paired with a whopping 30-millimeter internal rim width, they made a wheel that's super resilient to impact with low rolling resistance and incredible traction. You'll also find that it helps prevent "burping" during hard cornering, while also making tubeless set up quick and easy. Along with light overall weight, stiffness, and durability, another top priority for the Traverse was ease of use. First off, we got rid of the creaky straight-pull spokes and corrosion-prone alloy nipples. Next up, we landed on 28 J-bend spokes, for front and rear wheels, that are all the same length, making it easy to find replacements if needed. And finally, we engineered a new hub design with a wider profile and higher flange to aid in overall stiffness. A wider rim does a variety of things for ride performance, better supports the tire for increased confidence and grip, and it affords you the ability to run lower pressures that help spread impact out over a larger surface area to reduce the risk of damage. And when you combine this girth with the notoriously fast rolling 29 platform, you're left with an incredibly stiff, quick to accelerate wheelset that climbs just as well as it shreds descents. After designing the perfect trail rim, we kept our lightweight and durable design properties in mind with the wheel build, hand-lacing the rims with DT Swiss 350 Classic hubs via 28 DT Swiss Competition Race spokes and brass Pro Lock nipples. Inside, you'll find sealed cartridge bearings and a 36t quick engagement ratchet system for quick accelerations. We also wanted to ensure that each wheel was built correctly, and we found that this could only be achieved by hand. Machines, we found, have a tendency to miss little mistakes that humans catch. Each wheelset comes packaged with a SRAM XD driver, 11-speed freehub, and a tubeless valve stem in order to make tubeless set up a touch easier. *Please note that Shimano freehubs are sold separately. - Assembly Method: Hand built at every step; from rim layup to the last nipple turn. - Bearing Type: DT Swiss Sealed Steel Cartridge Bearings - Extras: 19 and 31mm OD end cap options included, Roval tubeless tape and tubeless valve, Spare Spoke and Nipple Kit, System Weight Limit: 240lbs / 109kg - Hub: Roval DT Swiss 350 J-bend, 6-bolt, Star Ratchet 36t internals (10 deg), 110x15mm & 142x12mm thru-axle, SRAM XD Freebub, (Convertible freehub and endcaps) - Nipple: DT Swiss Hex Prolock Brass 2.0x14mm - Rim Details: 25mm Depth, 35mm External Width, 30mm Internal Width, ERD 594 - Rim Type: Traverse Carbon, 29, Disc Brake, Tubeless Ready, Zero Bead Hook Design - Spokes: DT Swiss Competition Race J-Bend, Front: Two-Cross 28 count, R: 282mm, L: 279mm, Rear: 282 Two-cross 28 count, DS: 280mm, NDS: 281mm - Tire Size: 1.95 - 3.0 - Max Pressure: 40 psi - Weight: Wheelset 1,800g (including tubeless rim tape and tubeless valve)
