BMC Teammachine SLR02 DISC ONE
Details
The Teammachine has won them all; the Tour de France, the Olympics, World Championships, and grueling Classics. Despite its success, BMC hasn't been resting on their laurels: to stand still means being overtaken — to remain at the top, the best must evolve. To bring you the new Teammachine, BMC pushed the boundaries of advanced cycling technology. Its creation has been all-encompassing. First, they gathered feedback from professional riders — no one knows the Teammachine better than they do. BMC also sought advice from partners outside of the industry to make sure they had access to the latest scientific research. They leveraged decades of in-house carbon expertise and explored the possibilities by applying our ground-breaking ACE Technology. The result is the pinnacle of performance in competitive cycling: the world’s raciest balance of lightweight, stiffness, and compliance, perfected with maximal integration and Swiss design. Let there be no doubts, BMC is ready.
With a refined look and a host of carefully chosen performance components, the Teammachine SLR02 Disc ONE is a category overachiever. The carbon layup utilizes asymmetric tube shapes on the fork, bottom bracket, and chainstays, which account for load distribution from the rider and braking forces, resulting in a superior ride. For cable management, internal routing for both brakes and Di2 wires creates a clean, streamlined cockpit. A full Shimano Ultegra Di2 drivetrain carries all the benefits of electronic shifting - precision, customization, and dependability, to name a few. Flat mount disc brakes shave weight and complement the clean frame lines, while the Ice-Tech Freeza rotors mitigate brake fade from heat buildup. The DT Swiss P1850 Spline wheels add stiffness from thru axle and improved handling due to the wider footprint. It all adds up to a bike that begs to be pushed farther and faster.
Electronic drivetrain systems deliver excellent shifting, easy set up, and solid battery life. Here are some benefits of electronic shifting that you don't want to miss.
Shifting Performance
Electronic shifting systems use powerful servo motors to rapidly shift the chain. Because microprocessors and sensors constantly monitor every aspect of the system, they shift with surgical precision and without chain rub.
Customization
Many major systems have customizable shifting. Some have the ability to add remote shifters for common riding positions, and some even allow you to change the functions of the shifting buttons.
Dependability
Electronic groupsets are responsive and consistent. There are no cables to stretch and wear out, so you get a flawless shift every time. The added bonus is you'll never have to replace a derailleur cable ever again.
