Feel your bike come alive on the open road with the new Alpinist CL II, featuring the lightest, best-handling clincher rims we have ever made, elevated with the performance of a tubeless system. The brand new Alpinist CL II now brings mountain-taming performance slightly closer to earth with a carefully selected build designed to let riders take full advantage of the low rim and spoke mass. The Alpinist CL II utilizes the same rim as the alpinist clx ii. They react to even the slightest increase in power with immediate acceleration and carve the purest lines in the corners, yet they can also handle almost double the impact standards of every certifying body. The result is a 1375-gram tubeless wheelset with an otherworldly ride quality designed for real-world road pressures. The Alpinist CL II utilizes components curated to keep you rolling and rolling fast. The DT Swiss 350 hubs, featuring their star ratchet drive system, are reliable and easy to service, while 24 DT Swiss comprace straight-pull spokes front and rear, laced to the rims with their alloy pro lock nipples, are synonymous with reliability and can be obtained at any bike shop. The reduced rolling resistance of a tubeless setup is undeniable, as are the benefits of improved handling and incredible puncture protection. It took the most extensive and demanding engineering and testing program we've ever undertaken. As a result of this extensive development, the Alpinist CL II features a hooked rim that can handle a huge range of pressures up to 110psi and offers an easier set up and mounting experience than ever. - Rim: Alpinist CLX Carbon Clincher, 700c, Disc Brake, Tubeless - Rim Details: 33mm Depth, 27mm External Width, 21mm Internal Width - Hub: DT Swiss 350 Straightpull Center Lock, Star Ratchet 36t internals (10 degs), 100x12mm & 142x12mm, Shim. Following directly in the tire tracks of the Terra CLX, the new Terra CL utilizes the same super-light, incredibly tough rim as our flagship wheel. It's a hook-bead, 33mm deep carbon fiber rim with a 25mm inner width that plays well with tubeless setup and allows you to mount tires anywhere from 28mm to 47mm wide at whatever pressure you feel like running. In a nod to accessibility, durability and real-world serviceability, we opted to use ultra-dependable DT Swiss 350 hubs and lace them to the rims with DT Swiss Competition Straightpull spokes. The net effect of these changes is a wheelset that is almost as light as our incredibly light Terra CLX, offering close to the same benchmark performance but with more easily sourced spokes in the event of some back-of-beyond carnage, all with a price tag that is about half that of our flagship product. - Rim: Terra CLX Carbon Clincher, 700c, Disc Brake, Tubeless Compatible - Rim Details: 32mm Depth, 30mm External Width, 25mm Internal Width; ERD 577mm - Hub: DT Swiss 350 Straight-pull Center Lock, Star Ratchet 36t internals (10 degs), 100x12mm & 142x12mm, Shim. From the purist gravel racer to the mixed-surface fanatic, Terra CLX II provides a level of weight savings and material confidence that’s unheard of in the all-road or gravel space. This tier of weight-savings translates to rocket-like acceleration off the starting line, nimble performance in the hills, and unleashed efficiency on those loaded-down long-haul excursions. Weighing in at just 1250 grams, the Roval Terra CLX II are the lightest wheels in their class, rivaling pure climbing wheels in terms of weight and out-performing in raw toughness. We were able to get even lighter than before (50 grams lighter) by utilizing Low Flange Disc (LFD) hubs, borrowed from the Alpinist CLX II wheels. What’s being carried forward from the previous generation, is the rim. With its multiple Unbound victories, we we kept what was already class leading, and extended our lead. Because Terra CLX II is a hooked rim, you’re able to ride almost any tire and pressure. Thanks to the 25mm internal width, they work seamlessly with 28-47c tires (up to 80 PSI), giving you options to customize your setup for what’s ahead. Using Roval LFD hubs, still spinning on DT Swiss 180 hub internals, Terra CLX II continues to provide flawless ride quality. The CINC ceramic bearings inside do some serious heavy lifting when it comes to the efficiency of these wheels. Even with laundry list of demands that need to be met for the serious gravel racer, to the all-road explorer—the Roval Terra CLX II checks every box with authority. - Rim: Terra CLX Carbon Clincher, 700c, Disc Brake, Tubeless Compatible - Rim Details: 32mm Depth, 30mm External Width, 25mm Internal Width - ERD 577mm - Hub: Roval Light Hub (LF13/LF14R) Center Lock, DT Swiss 180 Ratchet EXP 36t internals (10 degs), 100x12mm & 142x12mm, Shim. Trail wheels often fall into two categories—they’re either heavy and durable or light and flexy. And because of this, a lightweight, wide-profile, and enduro-ready carbon wheel seems like something only found in a fairytale, but lucky for you, we made it a reality. The Traverse SL Fattie 27.5 puts all the flick'able, nimble features you need in an all-mountain wheel into one package, and it has the results to prove it. Along with light overall weight, stiffness, and durability, another top priority for the Traverse SL was ease of use. First off, we got rid of the creaky straight-pull spokes and corrosion-prone alloy nipples. Next up, we landed on 28 J-bend spokes, for both the front and rear wheels, that are all the same length—making it easy to find replacements if needed. And finally, we engineered a new hub design, with a wider profile and higher flange to aid in overall stiffness. What's with the big-boned name, you ask? The Traverse SL Fatties may be wide, but with a 30mm inner rim width, they’re far from the girth of a fat bike rim. But let's talk width. You've probably noticed that mountain bike rim widths have hovered between 19 and 23 millimeters for decades, and they've been long overdue for a change. In the search for a better wheel design, our engineers began testing 2.3- to 2.5-inch tires on 45-millimeter-wide fat bike rims to see what, if any, benefits could be found. It only took them a few rides to realize that the wider rims offered a variety of advantages, like adding additional tire volume, which better supports the tires in hard cornering, greatly improves traction because of the ability to run lower pressures, and noticeably increases rim stiffness. They did note that there is an occurrence of diminishing returns with increasing width, however, and after testing everything from 25 to 45mm, determined that a 30mm inner width is optimal. After determining the width, we began designing the rim using the knowledge that we gained when developing the Control SL. With this, we started with our Zero Bead Hook technology that gets rid of the weak spot found in a traditional wheel, and combined it with the wider profile to make a carbon rim that effectively dissipates forces. This way, you can take abuse from rocks without the worry of cracks or dents. Ok, so they’re strong, impact-resistant, and tire supporting—they must be heavy, right? Wrong. Even though “fattie” is in their name, they're far from fat. To achieve this weight, we hand-build our rims to our own alloy hubs, using only the highest quality DT Swiss Competition Race spokes. Inside our hubs, you'll find DT Swiss 240 internals with a quick engaging 54t DT Swiss star ratchet system in the rear that allows you to power over rocks and roots without delay. And while machines do a pretty good job of building wheels, we choose professionally trained humans because they do so with an artistic touch that makes for minimal flaws. Whether you need a carbon wheelset to get you through an enduro stage or one to shred your local rock garden, the Traverse SL Fattie has you covered.

The trails in our neck of the woods get pretty hairy pretty fast, so we've found them to be the perfect testing ground for fast and tough wheels like our Traverse 29 Carbon. The steep climbs and descents helped inspire some pretty radical designs, and most importantly, left us with no doubt that these wheels will exceed your expectations. Let's talk about those expectations. They include everything from the ability to stay true after launching off drops to being light enough to efficiently pedal to the top of a climb, and they all begin with the rim. Our engineers knew they wanted carbon fiber, and with the inclusion of our Zero Bead Hook design, they were able to implement a continuous fiber layup across the sidewall and rim bed. And when paired with a whopping 30-millimeter internal rim width, they made a wheel that's super resilient to impact with low rolling resistance and incredible traction. You'll also find that it helps prevent "burping" during hard cornering, while also making tubeless set up quick and easy. Along with light overall weight, stiffness, and durability, another top priority for the Traverse was ease of use. First off, we got rid of the creaky straight-pull spokes and corrosion-prone alloy nipples. Next up, we landed on 28 J-bend spokes, for front and rear wheels, that are all the same length, making it easy to find replacements if needed. And finally, we engineered a new hub design with a wider profile and higher flange to aid in overall stiffness. A wider rim does a variety of things for ride performance, better supports the tire for increased confidence and grip, and it affords you the ability to run lower pressures that help spread impact out over a larger surface area to reduce the risk of damage. And when you combine this girth with the notoriously fast rolling 29 platform, you're left with an incredibly stiff, quick to accelerate wheelset that climbs just as well as it shreds descents. After designing the perfect trail rim, we kept our lightweight and durable design properties in mind with the wheel build, hand-lacing the rims with DT Swiss 350 Classic hubs via 28 DT Swiss Competition Race spokes and brass Pro Lock nipples. Inside, you'll find sealed cartridge bearings and a 36t quick engagement ratchet system for quick accelerations. We also wanted to ensure that each wheel was built correctly, and we found that this could only be achieved by hand. Machines, we found, have a tendency to miss little mistakes that humans catch. Each wheelset comes packaged with a SRAM XD driver, 11-speed freehub, and a tubeless valve stem in order to make tubeless set up a touch easier. *Please note that Shimano freehubs are sold separately. - Assembly Method: Hand built at every step; from rim layup to the last nipple turn. - Bearing Type: DT Swiss Sealed Steel Cartridge Bearings - Extras: 19 and 31mm OD end cap options included, Roval tubeless tape and tubeless valve, Spare Spoke and Nipple Kit, System Weight Limit: 240lbs / 109kg - Hub: Roval DT Swiss 350 J-bend, 6-bolt, Star Ratchet 36t internals (10 deg), 110x15mm & 142x12mm thru-axle, SRAM XD Freebub, (Convertible freehub and endcaps) - Nipple: DT Swiss Hex Prolock Brass 2.0x14mm - Rim Details: 25mm Depth, 35mm External Width, 30mm Internal Width, ERD 594 - Rim Type: Traverse Carbon, 29, Disc Brake, Tubeless Ready, Zero Bead Hook Design - Spokes: DT Swiss Competition Race J-Bend, Front: Two-Cross 28 count, R: 282mm, L: 279mm, Rear: 282 Two-cross 28 count, DS: 280mm, NDS: 281mm - Tire Size: 1.95 - 3.0 - Max Pressure: 40 psi - Weight: Wheelset 1,800g (including tubeless rim tape and tubeless valve)

First came our CLX 64. Then the 32s. And after racking up multiple wins in Grand Tours, Worlds, and everything in between, we knew that our best bet was to take the line to new heights, or well, new depths. We needed to design one wheel that was a true quiver killer. One wheel that had all the aerodynamic benefits of the 64 in a package that climbed like the 32, and that's where the all-new CLX 50 comes in. When we set out to create the CLX 50, we had clear goals in mind, create wheels that are 48 to 54mm deep, aerodynamically optimized, ultra-wide, and under 1400 grams. This meant that they'd have to borrow some weight savings techniques that we developed for the CLX 32, while taking some aero guidance from the CLX 64, if we were going to create what we like to call ""the unicorn wheel."" Even though the CLX 50 is similar in weight to many wheels in the ""lightweight"" category, aerodynamics came at the forefront of the development. With this, we jumped headlong into Computational Fluid Dynamics computer modeling to arrive at various rim shapes that could make the CLX 50 as fast and light as possible. It took a while, but we narrowed the rim shape down to three contenders that were then CNC machined into rims, built into wheels, and put into the Win Tunnel. In the tunnel, we tested every wheel, ours and the competition's, with a 24C tire (measuring 26C), as tires can drastically affect testing. We chose a modern-width tire to design our rims around, because they not only allow for less tire pressure (which results in more comfort and less rolling resistance) but are also just as aerodynamically efficient when paired with the correct rim width. After finding the optimized rim shape that supported our svelte weight requirements, we opted to lace the rims, via 21 DT Swiss Aerolite spokes, to our Aero Flange (AF) hub with the legendary CeramicSpeed bearings and DT 240 hub internals. And when it was time for final testing validation, we were left with a 50mm-deep, 770-gram clincher wheelset that's not only 200 grams lighter than the competition's similar depth wheel, but is also measurably faster in every conceivable test than each wheel in its category. - Assembly Method: Hand-built - Brake Track Height: 12mm - Braking Surface: Carbon Fiber - Extras: Roval padded wheelbag, Roval steel quick-release, Roval tubeless plugs and tubeless valve, SwissStop Black Prince brake pads - Nipple Type: DT Swiss Pro Lock hexagonal - Rear Hub: Roval AF1, CeramicSpeed bearings, DT Swiss 240 internals, 11-speed - Rim Depth: 50mm - Rim Material: Carbon - Rim Type: Carbon clincher, 2Bliss Ready - Rim Width: 20.7mm internal, 29.4mm external - Spoke Count: 21 - Spoke Pattern: Radial/Two-cross (2:1) - Spoke Type: DT Swiss Aerolite T-head - Weight: 770g

What It Is The G27 is the G23's little big brother. Smaller in diameter and lighter in weight, the G27 is designed for the higher-volume tires demanded by many riders on rougher and looser terrain. At 320 grams, our lightest tubeless rim is 27mm wide and designed for tires marked 27.5 or 650B. Armed against pinch flats with the patent-pending Wide Hookless Bead, the G27 is at home off-road and capable on tamer stretches of singletrack. Who It's For Those seeking the challenge of drop-bar riding over more technical terrain that is typically frequented by mountain bikes will benefit from the additional air volume, durability, and anti-flat performance benefits provided by the G27. If your path leads you to rough roads, single tracks, and multi-day bikepacking adventures, the G27 may be for you. Why We Made It There is a place between road and mountain that is open to discovery. Beyond the range of your trail bike or the capabilities of your road bike. Terrain littered with contradicting challenges and demanding requirements are at odds with the bikes and products available today. We built the new G27 to thrive in this new environment because insights gained through building the world's best road and mountain bike rims told us that the perfect combination did not exist in our stable, or in our opinion, anywhere at all. The higher volume and lower pressures would demand MTB toughness and flat resistance, while big days and long miles would require the light weight and efficiency of a road machine. Above all, the combination of rough and rigid would require a wheel with the ride quality to make those long miles enjoyable and multi-day treks possible.

Feel your bike come alive on the open road with the new Alpinist CLX II-the lightest, best-handling clincher wheels we have ever made. Hyper-responsive acceleration, magic in the corners, sublime over rough roads, all elevated with the performance of a tubeless system. There's no room for a single excess gram whether you're chasing summits or ride quality because perfection is only achieved when there is nothing left to take away. It takes more than a lightweight rim to deliver the incredible reactivity and handling of the tubeless Alpinist CLX II. The wheelset is designed as a system with our engineers controlling and testing every part of that system-hubs, rims, spokes, lacing-and developing it hand-in-hand with Specialized Tubeless tires. The result is a 1250-gram tubeless wheelset with otherworldly ride quality. The Alpinist CLX II utilizes a hooked rim (allowing for real-world riding pressures up to 110psi, if that's your thing) for secure tire bead retention and an easier set up and mounting experience than ever before. All in a wheel that almost doubles current industry impact standards while managing to achieve the lightest weight possible. Our all-new LightAF hubs are the spinning heart of the Alpinist CLX II. We carved 50 grams out of the previous Alpinist CLX hub with new low-profile hub bodies and machined rotor mounts. Inside, DT Swiss EXP internals and SINC ceramic bearings deliver silky-smooth efficiency and outstanding durability. - Rim: Alpinist CLX Carbon Clincher, 700c, Disc Brake, Tubeless - Rim Details: 33mm Depth, 27mm External Width, 21mm Internal Width - Hub: Roval Light Hub (LFD13/LF14R) Center Lock, DT Swiss 180 Ratchet EXP 36t internals (10 degs), 100x12mm & 142x12mm, Shim. This meant that they'd have to borrow some weight savings techniques that we developed for the CLX 32, while taking some aero guidance from the CLX 64, if we were going to create what we like to call "the unicorn wheel." Even though the CLX 50 is similar in weight to many wheels in the "lightweight" category, aerodynamics came at the forefront of the development. After finding the optimized rim shape that supported our svelte weight requirements, we opted to lace the rims, via 16 DT Swiss Aerolite spokes, to our Aero Flange (AF) hub with the legendary CeramicSpeed bearings. And when it was time for final testing validation, we were left with a 50mm-deep, 1375-gram clincher wheelset that's not only 200 grams lighter than the competition's similar depth wheel, but is also measurably faster in every conceivable test than each wheel in its category. - Assembly Method: Hand-built - Brake Track Height: 12mm - Braking Surface: Carbon Fiber - Extras: Roval padded wheelbag, Roval steel quick-release, Roval tubeless plugs and tubeless valve, SwissStop Black Prince brake pads - Front Hub: Roval AF1, CeramicSpeed bearings - Nipple Type: DT Swiss Pro Lock hexagonal - Rim Depth: 50mm - Rim Material: Carbon - Rim Type: Carbon clincher, 2Bliss Ready - Rim Width: 20.7mm internal, 29.4mm external - Spoke Count: 16 - Spoke Pattern: Radial - Spoke Type: DT Swiss Aerolite T-head - Weight: 607g

Born on the World Cup, destined for your local trails. We poured World Championship-winning engineering into developing an all-new alloy for these Control wheels. To increase the new material's durability, we customized our shot peening process—where metal projectiles are shot at the alloy to increase its strength—meeting the precise demands of our XC riders. If that wasn't enough, to eliminate creaking and reduce weight, individually customized sleeves are chosen to bond every single rim. The result is a wildly over-engineered, trail-ripping, best-of-the-best, aluminum wheel; held to the same standards as our highest-end Control SL carbon components. Whether you are looking for a solid set of training wheels that will handle it all or a big upgrade from entry-level wheels, Roval Control Alloy is the go-to wheel. While the CLX 32 rim is the lightest and most aero in its category, there's much more to it than that. It’s a durable, 2Bliss Ready, and wide-profiled carbon rim that’s ready to take on any adventure. Because of this, we developed the CLX 32 650b Disc wheelset. We wanted to create a lightweight wheel that works well with plus-sized tires—one that could also be used on anything from tarmac to gravel. And yes, while many opt to use mountain bike wheels for this application, there are various advantages to choosing the CLX 32 650b Disc. First off, while most mountain wheels have hubs that are convertible to various axle standards, not many are convertible to the 12mm road thru-axle standard. Secondly, mountain wheels often come with either a SRAM XD driver, a Shimano 11-speed mountain, or 10-speed road freehub, making them incompatible with contemporary 11-speed road cassettes. And lastly, most mountain wheels use standard six-bolt disc brake hubs, rather than the Center Lock hubs found on most road applications. With a 21mm internal width, however, the CLX 32 650b Disc features an inner width that’s consistent with many XC-oriented mountain bike wheels, so it pairs well with 650+ road and gravel tires. And with the 42-47mm tires associated with 650+, the tire and rim interaction is equally as important as the tire itself—too narrow of a rim and you’re left with an overly-rounded profile; too wide and the tread is too squared off. In either situation, you're going to get poor handling characteristics. Each CLX 32 650b Disc set also uses the legendary CeramicSpeed bearings and comes with our padded wheelbag, quick-release, tubeless plugs, and tubeless valves. - Rim Type: Carbon clincher, 2Bliss-Ready - Rim Material: Carbon - Braking Surface: Disc brake only - Rim Depth: 32mm - Rim Width: 20.7mm internal - Spoke Pattern: One-cross/Two-cross (2:1) - Spoke Count: 24 - Spoke Type: DT Swiss Aerocomp (L)/Aerolite (R) T-head - Nipple Type: DT Swiss Pro Lock hexagonal - Rear Hub: Roval AFD2, Centerlock, CeramicSpeed bearings, DT Swiss 240 internals, 11-speed, quick-release or 142x12mm thru-axle end cap - Assembly Method: Hand-built - Extras: Roval padded wheelbag, Roval steel quick-release, Roval tubeless plugs and tubeless valve,142x12mm thru-axle & quick-release end caps - Wheelset weight: 1290g

Recent advancements have made carbon fiber nearly equal in strength to aluminum, but these innovative technologies typically come at a high price. For when durability, strength, and budget are the top three things on your wheel search list, nothing beats aluminum as the material of choice. With this in mind, we set out to create an alloy wheelset that features many of the desired qualities found in a carbon wheel, such as low weight, stiffness, and good looks, but with the durability to train and race both on and off road. In the end, our SLX 24 wheelset came out as a lightweight, durable wheelset that’s ready for whatever you throw at it. The wide profile of the SLX 24 is what really sets them apart from others in the same weight category. Most wheels in this category feature a much narrower internal width, a flaw that impairs a proper tire/rim match. But the 20mm internal rim width of the SLX 24s have them pair nicely with road and 'cross tires alike. This match allows for lower rolling resistance due to the ability to run lower pressures and wider tires. Lower pressures with wider tires and rims is somewhat of a new concept, but can greatly improve ride quality and performance. Wide rims allow for more air volume in the tire, and with more air, less pressure is needed to have the same resistance to pinch flats, providing you with a more supple ride without the risk of flats both on and off-road. On the performance side of things, less pressure equates to less rolling resistance via the tire soaking up road imperfections rather than bouncing over them. When too much pressure is in a tire, without realizing it, your bike will ever-so-slightly spring over road imperfections, wasting precious watts—but lower pressures soak up these bumps and keep use your power strictly for forward movement. Less pressure also greatly improves grip, inspiring confidence when the road gets twisty. Even with a budget-friendly price in mind, we made sure not to compromise quality with the build components of our SLX 24. The use of quality alloy sets the tone for the rest of the build, quality, and with this, we start with the 24-millimeter-deep rims that offer both low weight and great durability, and hand-lace them to the same aero (AF) hubs that you find on our top-end carbon models via 20/24 DT Swiss Competition spokes—resulting in a respectable 1495-gram wheelset. Building wheels by hand is a practice that's becoming scarce, but being fully invested in making the best wheels means that we know hand-built wheels provide a level of quality unmatched by machines. Machines miss little discrepancies that humans catch, and these are the flaws that make the difference between a good and a prestigious wheelset. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense wheelset that you can race and train on with equal aplomb, without worrying about reliability, look no further than our SLX 24 wheelset.
