Steve Wilson: Steve has owned the Village Peddler for over twenty years, and rules over all his domain with an iron fist. Nah, not really; a more laid-back easy going guy you will never meet. You’d be hard pressed to find someone with as much knowledge and genuine interest in bike industry as Steve. There is no repair too complicated, no sale too time-consuming; if it needs doing, Steve’s your man. Just don’t ask him about the Friday Morning Ride!
James Drake: Our resident Englishman, James is the Sales Manager at the shop. James always makes time for anyone who needs some help, while keeping a close eye to make sure everything is running smoothly. James is also certified in the Specialized Body Geometry Fit System. Schedule your bike fit with James, and be ready for noticeable improvements in your bike fit. James is also in charge of the Village Peddler Race Team; go to him for any inquires about the team.
James Westberg: James is one of the most senior members of the VP staff, with close to 10 years experience working in the Service department. Don’t mind his long hair and “killer tats”, no one knows the ins and outs of bicycle repair as well as he does. Need a rebuild on your Fox Fork? No Problemo. Disc brakes making a funny noise? Easy-Peasy. With James, you get service with a smile, every time.
Danny Shelly: Danny is hands down the hardest working member of the VP t eam. His dedication to the task at hand, as well as his vast technical knowledge & experience make him an integral part of our staff. Danny takes the time to diagnose your bikes problem down to the smallest detail, and will not r est until that problem is solved! Danny is also an absolutely ridiculous mountain bike and BMX rider; be prepared to eat his dust out on the trails! He can field all your technical questions about Santa Cruz bicycles, and help you with all your BMX bike needs.
Alex Lykiardopoulos: Hailing from the Hellenic heartland, and directly descended from the almighty Spartan warriors of the 300, he was reared in a stone hut without doors or windows in the shadows of the Parthenon. Well, we think that! Seriously though, Alex takes on the most difficult and technical repairs that we have at the Village Peddler and make things work like new.
A ndy Goessling: First and foremost, Andy is “a pretty good sprinter.” He tries to put that quality to good use racing his a** off in local and national Pro/1/2 races. While he’s not riding a ton, Andy keeps the computer system up and running, while also updating the website. Andy has extensive experience with all things road bikes, and he always has an opinion on the latest technology to hit the streets. If you ever need any advice on how to look stylish (aka EURO) on a bike, ask for Andy. Here, I’ll throw you a freebie:
“Legs shall be SHAVED year-round. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. Certain hair removal creams are endorsed only on a case-by-case basis. One shall never show up to a race (be it large or small) with ANY amount of stubble visible on one’s legs.”
Follow my advice and you’ll be the coolest kid on the group ride.
Nick McGlibery: Looking for some honest to goodness advice on bicycle service and sales? Nick can always steer you in the right direction to find exactly what you’re looking for.
