Blur TR Carbon

An all new addition to Santa Cruz’s lineup, this all carbon full suspension trail bike falls in between the Blur XC and Blur LT. It features the same basic top tube  and longer riding position of the XC, paired with the more relaxed head and seat tube angles of the LT. This combination combines the best of both bikes to create what Santa Cruz is heralding as a redefinition of the trail bike.

Join us Thursday, May 5th for a Marin Bikes Demo ride followed by an awesome presentation by Yuri Hauswald on his inaugural circumnavigation by bike of the Bay Area Ridge Trail!

The afternoon will start off at 5PM with a Marin Bikes Demo ride! The whole mountain fleet will be there. It is your perfect chance to test ride a 29’er and see how spectacularly they perform on our beautiful Marin trail. Is a 26 still more your style? If so the Nail Trail is looking great this year. Prefer full suspension? Marin revamped their line this year to make them lighter and more efficient— come out and give them a try.

We will continue the evening at 7PM with the main event—Editor for Bike Monkey magazine and mountain bike racer Yuri Hauswald will be giving a presentation on the first ever bike circumnavigation of the Bay Area Ridge Trail. In late 2010 Yuri, his riding partner Austin McInerny and photographer Scott Merkewitz completed the 550-mile trail and documented each pedal stroke along the way. Come hear the story of their adventure as well as the history and culture of the trail. They will also tell us about great day rides on this magnificent trail.

THE RIDE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 5PM, so come a little early to reserve your bike.

THE PRESENTATION WILL START AT 7PM, and we expect it to end around 8:30.
